In my first lessons with Aaron, he assessed right away how much experience I already had with the guitar, knowing that he needn't teach me me notes because I already knew them. What he taught me was how to relax, what sort of mind set to use, how to practice to most efficiently learn my music. I took copious notes so I could remember those"tricks." Best of all, he introduced me to the most beautiful music and honored me with his confidence that I could play it. I felt like I was a part of a real tradition of Classical Guitarists. I can say now that I am a bona fide "Musician". Aaron is patient, kind, and has a great sense of humor. I would recommend him to anyone.

Having praticipated in orchestra and wind band and having taken private lessons for both, I can confidently say that Aaron is the best private lessons teacher I have ever worked with. He is super knowledgeable on the guitar and can very easily spot and remedy issues. He wastes no time at all during lessons and you are constantly learning new ways to improve.

Mr. Aaron Cardenas is the best guitar teacher we found for our son almost three years ago. We were trying to find a classical guitarist in Honolulu. There were several guitar teachers, but we could not find any teacher who had expertise in classical guitar performance. It took us half a year to find Mr. Cardenas who had just come back from mainland. We were impressed by his accomplishment in academy as well as performance. Our son was 7 years old and did not even know how to read music. But he really enjoyed the guitar lessons and quickly progressed. Mr. Cardenas has a gentle heart and is great in teaching kids. He teaches how to practice difficult pieces based on his own experience, patiently correcting our son’s bad habits in the right and left hands. He always encourages our son to make each piece of music special and unique with his own expressions. We are fortunate Mr. Cardenas has been teaching our son. We can recommend him to anyone who seeks a good classical guitar teacher.

Aaron Cardenas is the best guitar teacher you could ask for! He asks what I want to learn and teaches useful skills need such as practicing techniques, warmups, etc. I have only been learning from him for a couple of months and I am able to play musical pieces I never thought I could play.
