Kumu Aaron Cardenas holds an M.M. and M.M.A. from the prestigious Yale School of Music where he studied guitar performance and composition. He also has 20 years of private teaching experience working with ages as young as 3. He can also teach in all styles and can accommodate everyone from beginning to professional levels.
Kumu Aaron Cardenas adds a level of musical prestige and expertise that Maui has yet to experience. He is excited to contribute to the Maui community and provide top tier tutelage that can only be found at top conservatories.
Location
Kumu Aaron Cardenas holds lessons both in-person and online. Online lessons are a great way to beat the hassle of battling traffic and gives back time to families for quality time.
In-person lessons are reserved for advanced students via appointment, whilst entry level students have sessions conducted solely online.
Extra Curriculars
Kumu Cardenas’s students are often accepted into some of Hawaii’s best private schools including Punahou, Iolani, Mid Pac, and much more. Students of Kumu Cardenas are able to use his credentials for college applications as well. Maui students can expect to add many accolades and accomplishments that will beef up applications.

Faqs
How long and how often are lessons?
Lessons are either 30 min or 60 min and are held once a week at an established time slot that works for both student and teacher. Students who cannot maintain a time slot within the given availability will be asked to give up there position on Kumu Aaron’s teaching roster. Spots are limited and there is an active waitlist for those who want prime time-slots.
How much are lessons and how do I pay?
Tuition is $180/month and payments are processed through square. An invoice will be sent out at the beginning of every month after registering for lessons.
Can anyone sign up?
Yes! All ages and skill levels are welcome. Spots are limited so please do not hesitate to fill out the inquiry form. I provide guitar and ukulele lessons for the island of Maui, but also have clients from all over the U.S.
Where are lessons held?
Lessons are held in Maui for students who audition for in person slots. In-person lessons are reserved for Maui students geared toward aiming to achieve a high level of playing. All other lessons are held online.
